Expanding Referral OptionsĀ Through Telepsychiatry

Want to make timely and appropriate psychiatry and behavioral health referrals? Try telepsychiatry!

In today’s busy, on-demand world, more employers are offering online services to employees so that they can meet with a psychiatry or therapy provider remotely from home or another private space. Telepsychiatry is the application of telehealth specifically to psychiatry, mental and behavioral health services through online video calls and appointments. Referring to this convenient service at theĀ  completion of an EAP program allows for quicker access to care, removes geographic limitations and gives individuals more providers to choose from.

Learn more about this rapidly growing psychiatry and behavioral health resource in an upcoming webinar designed especially for EAPs.

Next, Barry Doan, MSW and InSight’s Payer Business Developer, will discuss the pros, cons and considerations of telepsychiatry for employees and as a referral option for EAPs.
