Varnell Person-Turner, LCSW
Varnell Person-Turner is a licensed clinical social worker offering services to adults in Michigan. She has a variety of clinical interests; however, she specializes in anxiety disorders, attachment disorders, grief counseling, stress management and parenting. Varnell believes there is no such thing as a "one-size-fits-all" spectrum of care in behavioral health. In her practice, she focuses on what she believes to be three of the many important tools of healthy behavior: empowerment, education and insight.
Varnell’s interest in mental and behavioral healthcare came from her mother. Her mother was her mentor and motivator, and modeled compassion, care and service to others. Varnell believes that she’s never been able to fill her shoes, but she thought that a career in mental and behavioral health was a good place to start.
Varnell’s biggest accolades have come from the smallest people. She believes that learning never ends and she loves to travel.
"Peace puts you in a place of power."
