Rebecca Poage, LCSW
Rebecca Poage, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker offering services to children, adolescent and adult residents in California and Texas. She has a vast array of clinical interests; however, her specializations are working with trauma survivors, veterans, learning issues, mood disorders, medical issues and autism immune issues. In her practice, Rebecca’s philosophy of care is to look for strengths, resources and spiritual and community support that individuals may have. She assesses areas of need and seeks to help empower individuals to access resources to promote growth and aid in reducing their challenges. Rebecca works to help individuals see their challenges from a perspective that allows for breakthroughs. She will typically use metaphors adapted to everyone to describe situations to help facilitate problem resolution.
Rebecca’s interest in mental and behavioral health care comes from having benefited from her own therapy. Her interest then developed when those close to her sought her support. She feels well suited for the field.
Rebecca once rented a stick-shift car to explore Normandy, France for a week on her own. She has fond memories of going on road trips as a child with her family around the US, some of Canada and Mexico. She has an interest in art, music, dance, drama and cinema. Humor is a key value of hers.
