Haidy Willis , DNP
Haidy Willis is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner offering services to adults in California. She has a variety of clinical interests; however, she specializes in mood disorders, anxiety disorders and bipolar disorders. Haidy’s philosophy of care is to treat each client with respect and dignity, listen and empathize, and provide them with the risks and benefits of treatment so they can make the best treatment decisions for their unique situation.
Haidy has been in the mental and behavioral health care field for more than 20 years. She began pursuing a career in mental health after her clinical rotation, where she worked with intriguing and resilient patients. At 23 years old, Haidy set a goal of obtaining a doctorate degree. The day she left Suriname for the United States she told her father, "I will return as Dr. Haidy Kent." She obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2017.
Haidy is originally from Suriname. She has traveled to several countries such as Italy, where she saw Napolean's villa, The Netherlands, where she visited Ann Frank's house, Puerto Rico, Curacao, Trinidad, Barbados and Hawaii. Haidy is a quilter and loves to cook and garden.
