Ann Wimer, LCSW
Ann Wimer is a licensed clinical social worker offering services to adolescents and adults in California. She has a variety of clinical interests; however, she specializes in child and adolescent therapy, family therapy, marriage and relationship counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy and stress management. In her practice, Ann’s goal is to help individuals find relief, insight and ultimately peace. She works together with her clients to identify and prioritize their needs, feelings and self-worth. She helps clients develop skills that allow them to release behaviors and thoughts that no longer serve them in order to move forward confidently. She understands that taking the first step in seeking support may not be easy, but hopefully, by getting to that point individuals are able to see a glimpse of their own resilience.
Ann’s interest in mental and behavioral health care developed after going through therapy herself. She saw how therapy had benefited her life, so she wanted to blend her experience and strong sense of empathy to help others develop their own full potential.
Ann plays the acoustic and electric guitar. She has a master's in nonprofit management and grew up in Michigan.
