You may be battling severe depression. While depression can be a crippling and painful condition, there is hope. Consider therapy and/or talking to a physician about medication. A combination of therapy and medication, when appropriate, has been proven for most people to greatly decrease the symptoms of depression and increase higher functioning in day-to-day life.
Disclaimer: the results of this quiz do not take the place of a clinical diagnosis of depression. Only a licensed professional can completely assess, diagnose, and treat depression. If you are thinking about suicide, please consult with a professional as soon as possible or contact the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.
You may meet the clinical criteria for depression, especially if your symptoms are interfering with your day-to-day functioning and relationships. Over time, these feelings could get in the way of doing the things that you need or want to accomplish in your life. Therapy, and sometimes medication, are proven methods of making depression manageable and helping people improve the quality of their life. Please consider meeting with a therapist or counselor.
